So I told you I had lots of great news to share from last weekend …

I won the Bloganthropy Award.

I got an awesome plaque that I can't wait to put up in my office. It says "2010 Bloganthropy Award presented to Katherine Stone, Postpartum Progress, for using social media to make a difference." I love that.I'm so gratefulto all the people involved with both Bloganthropy and Child's Play Communications for putting together something that recognizes the amazing work that so many women are doing all over the blogosphere to help others.

I also gota giant check from the wonderful people at Proctor & Gamble's Give Health project. Like, you know, a real GIANT CHECK. Who doesn't want a GIANT CHECK?! (Unfortunately I couldn't keep it because those things don't fit in the overhead compartment.) P&G's GIVE HEALTH provides clean water, vaccines and education to children in need.

Note: You can helpP&G give a day of clean water to someone around the globe in need by participating in the Clean Water Blogivation Project. It's easy. Learn more at the link above.

I still can't believe it. I'm so honored and so happy that it generates more awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I was completely floored. I hope even more people will pay attention to theemotional healthof pregnant and new mothers.

At the awards ceremony I got to hang out with some amazing women and was especially pleased to meet some of the other finalists, including Maggie Dammit from Violence Unsilenced, Kristine Brite from Corra's Story and Jodi Ettenberg from Passports with Purpose. They inspire me.

Anyway, I'm just so happy to receive this honor and excited to share it with you.

P.S. It's very awkward writing a headline about yourself.
