Here are a few upcoming continuing education and training events for nurses, therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists and other healthcare providers interested in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders like postpartum depression:

Postpartum Support International is hosting a one-day professional training on Tuesday, October 12, in West Chatham, Ontario (Canada) at Aristo's. The event will be led by Birdie Meyer. To register, email Paula Morrison at paulamo@chatham-kent.ca. ALSO, I'm guessing there's still time to register for the PSI training that will be held as part of the annual conference in Pittsburgh on October 26th in Pittsburgh.

PSI of Washington and Washington's Council for Children & Families are presenting "Speak Up When You're Down: Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Training" on Nov. 9, 2010 at the Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. This event will educate professionals on current and effective treatments for perinatal mood disorders. CEUs are available. Register at Brown Paper Tickets.

Also, Karen Kleiman will be conducting a post-graduate clinical training session on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders on Dec. 3 and 4 in Pennsylvania. Click here for more details.
