LIVING Self-Care

Cheers to you—an entire week of the 21 day self-care challenge complete!

Sleep experts say that 74% of adults are sleep deprived. “Get more sleep” is something you know you should do—but how? You go to bed an hour earlier—only to toss and turn until your usual bedtime. What a vicious cycle!

Take control of your sleep deprivation: go to bed just ten minutes earlier tonight. Your body clock can reset, one ten minute step at a time. Persevere for a week, then move bedtime up another ten minutes. Don’t chase sleep, but rather practice slow, deep breaths again. Even if you don’t fall asleep earlier, allowing your brain and body to rest is still regenerating.

Repeat this mantra: “Sleep will come, sleep will come. Breathe deep and sleep will come.”
