The Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force has created a lovely new brochure for California's Speak Up When You're Down Campaignfor postpartum depression awareness. One side is English and the other, Spanish. I thought you might like to see a copy. I like how a fewstates — like Washington and California — have adopted the Speak Up When You're Down concept from New Jersey. I think it's a good tagline and campaign concept and it's smartto see themrecognize they don't have to completely recreate the wheel.
I love the name of this campaign! I got goosebumps reading about the legislation passed in 2005 in Washington. It just takes a few small steps and things like this will spread. I'm so excited to see where our country will be in a few years when it comes to education and advocacy. The brochure was beautiful, too, and so easy to understand.
Progress! Slow and steady, and state by state….let's all work together to make this happen in all 50 states!
